Professional Nurse
or Clinical Associate

Phoenix Health Care Group is looking for an experienced Professional Nurse or Clinical Associate to join our Polokwane team.

Location Polokwane, Limpopo

Type Full-time · On-site

01 Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

  • Relevant recognised qualification.
  • Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse or HPCSA registration as a Clinical Associate.
  • Experience in general consultations and primary healthcare.
  • Experience with minor clinical procedures, including:
    • Contraceptive implant insertion and removal
    • Circumcision
  • Basic ultrasound experience, particularly obstetric/pregnancy ultrasound.
  • Experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
  • Training and practical experience in medical and surgical termination of pregnancy (TOP).
  • Family planning training and certification, including long-acting and short-acting contraceptive methods.
  • IMCI training/certification.
  • Good clinical assessment, communication and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

02 Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct general consultations and clinical assessments.
  • Provide primary healthcare services within the appropriate scope of practice.
  • Perform basic ultrasound assessments within the practitioner's training and scope of practice.
  • Perform minor procedures safely and professionally.
  • Provide family planning and contraceptive services.
  • Participate in medical and surgical TOP services following appropriate training, authorisation and clinical protocols.
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure care and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Follow infection prevention and control requirements.
  • Refer patients appropriately when specialist assessment or care is required.
